Wildeburg is one of those places that you just have to see with your own eyes to understand its magic. Once a year this idyllic, little festival opens its doors to a small group of free spirited party people. Studio Smink created a series of colourful festival films called ‘Groeten Uit Wildeburg’ (Greetings From Wildeburg). For these videos inspiration was taken from old postcards and analogue holiday pictures to create a feeling of summer nostalgia.

The soundtrack for ‘Groeten uit Wildeburg’ was written and composed exclusively for the video. With the washed out synth pop theme feels nostalgic and modern at the same we have tried to address some of the many musical styles Wildeburg represents. Two years after the release of the 'Groeten Uit Wildeburg' aftermovie Wildeburg festival decided to release this soundtrack with two extra remixes and an extended remastered DJ mix.

In 2018, the year after the succesfull release the first 'Groeten Uit Wildeburg' aftermovie the brief Wildeburg gave us was simple and clear: "No aftermovie this year. We want something different." Studio Smink came up with a series of 25 'video postcards' that captured the festival's fun and laid back atmosphere. No sound, just moving images. Instead of creating full length festival film the idea was to create fun an quirky videoloops that could be shared out as animated postcards to friends and loved ones.

2018 was also the year in which Studio Smink, Wildeburg and Jagermeister collaborated to film two very unique unplugged backstage sessions with two Dutch artist on the rise: 'Eefje de Visser' and 'De Likt'. These one-takers were shot in the nature surrounding the Wildeburg festival site.
